Volunteering

Help us secure the future of our much-loved 17th century public house and bring it back to life as a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable community hub. Be part of something amazing!

There are various opportunities to volunteer:

1) Getting The Fox ready to reopen: to contribute skills to help with the project eg HR, recruitment, Legal, health & safety, hospitality experience, marketing, or planning knowledge, or other experience that might be useful as we get the Fox ready to reopen

2) During the renovation we will have community days for groups of volunteers to help with activities such as gardening and clearing outside, painting and decorating inside

3) Once open, we will need volunteers in our Community Coffee shop, Community Shop and possibly behind the bar.

If you previously pledged you skilled time & materials for things like building work, electrical or plumbing work, furniture making, etc There is no need to fill this form in. We will be contacting you to arrange when and how you can be part of the renovation project.

Community Day 13 April

13 April Community Volunteering Day

Now that we have purchased The Fox, we are holding our first Community Volunteering Day and are looking for a group of up to 30 willing volunteers to sign up (15 for each shift):

Date: Sunday 13 April

Shift 1: 10am-12pm

Shift 2: 12pm - 2pm

Work to be done:

hedge cutting
weeding
scraping and clearing the carpark and road
clearing plants, bricks, etc from the garden
sorting out the plant pots
general tidying up outside

Due to health & safety requirements, we will supervise the work and will restrict numbers to a manageable team. Once the volunteers are identified, we will provide more details about what to bring/wear on the day.
